“Is the Bible true? Is there a God? How do you know? What proof do you have that Jesus actually rose from the dead? Why does the resurrection even matter?”
These questions can be scary if you’re not ready for them. Have you ever been afraid to share your faith with non-Christians because you don’t think you will have the right answers? How should you respond if someone asks a question that you don’t have an answer for? What should you do when the conversation goes to a topic you didn’t expect?
First of all, remember that God is sovereign. He knew you’d be in that conversation long before you started talking! He will be with you and help you. Second, be humble and admit that you don’t know it all! If there’s a question you can’t answer, say so. Most people will respect you for that instead of trying to be a know-it-all. Third, speak in love and answer the questions with the truth that you do know – The Bible. No one is debated into believing in Christ. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (Romans 10:17).
