AUTHENTIC FAITH

Many people say they have faith, but they do not want it to cost them anything. Like a cheap, knockoff iPhone, they want it to look good on the outside and impress people around them, but without the price of the real thing. People who treat Christianity like this will soon find themselves dissatisfied. For one reason or another, their cheap faith is not working properly, so they look to trade it in for a different, equally fake version and the process repeats itself again and again.

As leaders, what can we do to ensure our church is not made up of cheap knockoff Christians? What does authentic faith look like? Are we familiar enough with the real thing to spot the fake?

What Can I Expect from a Class?

How Much Does Class Cost?
Our goal is to provide professional level training in a way that is practical for the average pastor and church leader. Class is always free of charge for this reason.

Who Can Apply?
These MTI classes are designed for pastors and church leaders, especially those in teaching roles. Anyone can apply, but priority is given to pastors.

THE NEED FOR BIBLICAL EDUCATION

Over the years, we have discovered a great need in the Philippines amongst established churches. A need for a program of strong and clear “furthering education” in matters such as scriptural knowledge, doctrine, church growth methods, and practical application of fundamental methods of church procedures. We often find pastors with great passion and heart, but lacking in the scriptural and church operations knowledge that traditionally comes through higher Bible school education. Such education is often “out of reach” for many pastors, as their church, family, and financial obligations prohibit such a commitment.

Shofar Mission has for years conducted multiple training gatherings all around the Philippines, to teach, encourage, and disciple men and women who long to be more greatly used by Christ in the service of His kingdom! Now finally we have been led to coordinate these efforts into a clearer educational objective, with concrete goals and a more ongoing consistent method and approach. After much preparation and prayer, we have established a MINISTRY TRAINING INSTITUTE, under the care and financial backing of Shofar Mission. These higher Bible educational classes are being presented free of charge to you, as we believe it is our calling as a USA mission to cover the costs, and we do not want the lack of finances to prohibit anyone from participating!

CLASSES

Classes will be held at least a couple of times a year. Location and frequency will increase with the demand. We know that church leaders are very busy people. Although sacrifice and commitment must be made by you to grow in this manner, we will seek to operate these classes within days and hours that are best for you to attend. Our desire is to better equip you for the calling upon your life as a pastor or layman in a church congregation. Each class will be presented in a 1-3 day (or evening) setting with a test at the end. All those who complete the class requirements will receive a certificate of completion, and credit towards full curriculum diploma. We invite all those who desire to take just one class, or eventually all of the classes we will be offering. Printed text materials and the teaching of the class will be in English. Therefore, basic understanding of conversational English is a must in order to complete the class!
